Last month, we posted our very well planned South Island driving route, but changes were inevitable somewhere down the line and here are the first set of enhancements that have been made to our route!
Previously, the route missed out the majority of the South Island’s south-easterly area and it just felt a bit incomplete. With the revised route, we will now be travelling from Lake Tekapo to Oamaru on the east coast, then down to Dunedin and then further south to Invercargill (the southernmost point of the country), before resuming the original route in Te Anau and finishing in Queenstown 2 days later than originally planned.
Below, you can see exactly where our route will now take us.
